This cost-competitive application offers a powerful set of tools
for enhancing imagery, digitizing reflectors, and exporting results
that can be used in reports and other GIS packages. SB-Interpreter
is the ideal tool for quickly analyzing sub-bottom engineering
data (e.g., site surveys, pipeline and cable routes and
buried pipe locations). The application is very easy to set up
and operate, and offers maximum information display.
SB-Interpreter is designed and built around the new Triton
architecture, which employs temporal caching to accomplish
high speed processing of large data sets. Triton SB-Interpreter
features the following capabilities.
- Automatic navigation extraction from SEG-Y and XTF format
files to provide a map view of survey coverage;
- Navigation processing including interpolation, box-car filtering,
speed computation, and application of layback, all of which
can be stored and exported with new SEG-Y and XTF files;
- Image enhancement tools to improve profile quality including
bandpass filtering, AGC, TVG, horizontal stacking, and an extensive
array of color palette features to highlight hazardous subsurface
anomalies (e.g., gas horizons, unconsolidated units;
- Automated cross-tie calculation with crossing lines shown
on all profiles;
- Digitizing tools with associated reflector database supporting
immediate display of reflector location on all crossing profiles;
- Automatic saving of Projects at a user-defined interval to
prevent the loss of work in case of a catastrophic system crash.
- Amazing flexibility for line widths, colors, and names to
assist with the interpretation process;
- Full-featured export capabilities including processed SEG-Y
/ XTF files, ASCII files for reflectors (in XYZ or XYTime format),
ASCII files for unit thicknesses (XYZ or XYTime format); and
TIFF images for processed profiles.
