Triton SonarSuite™ is a turnkey sidescan sonar survey system that includes all necessary components to perform accurate, efficient and productive operations. SonarSuite™ offers the customer a single source for expediting the delivery of a fully integrated sidescan sonar acquisition, processing, and analysis system.

The Concept

No single manufacturer provides all the equipment required to conduct a survey. Although much information can be gleaned from product brochures and company websites, nothing beats experience for understanding how an integrated system performs.

Triton offers such experience with their SonarSuite™ package. Our software interfaces with nearly every sonar and sensor on the market, and our educated and experienced staff have first-hand knowledge of how different systems perform. We approach each integration project from a systems engineering perspective – understanding what a client wants to achieve with a given budget at a given point in time. All components (sonar, GPS, gyro, printer, etc.) are configured to customer specifications.

For topside acquisition software, Triton Isis® Sonar™ comprises the backbone of the integrated system. Isis® Sonar™ co-registers all ancillary sensor information with the sidescan sonar data and timestamps all information before logging it in XTF format. Isis® Sonar™ also displays the sidescan sonar data in real time and offers many online quality control options. Capabilities for target capture, analysis, and classification are included in the package through Triton's TargetPro™ application .

Isis® Sonar™ also offers expansion as survey needs change. For example, if survey operations change to include a multibeam sonar the same baseline acquisition package (and user interface) can be retained – a new server may only need to be purchased.

All processed data (mosaics, contacts, background imagery) are displayed in TritonMap™ , a powerful GIS package that overlays multiple data sets to form correctly geo-referenced maps stored in Geotiff format. TritonMap™ includes many data management functions to facilitate the archiving and retrieval of large amounts of data. Delph TritonMap™ also facilitates the interpretation of data with powerful analysis tools. TritonMap™ optionally includes survey planning and real time navigation functions.

Triton's SonarSuite™ package extends beyond purchasing equipment and integrating the components. An important part of the package is the training and on-site direction provided by Triton personnel, as well as the follow-on support after a client takes ownership of a system.
