Triton Imaging continues to be an industry leader in seafloor mapping with the introduction of two new applications to our product line: Survey Planner™ and Survey Monitor.

Combined with DelphNav, both applications are designed to improve efficiency and ensure the success of any offshore survey.

Survey Planner™ simplifies the task of creating a line plan across a given survey area by automating many important steps.

The planner provides a step-wise interface for creating a survey plan based on sonar parameters, coverage requirements, and system characteristics.

The user is led through a series of menu pages on which assorted survey equipment and area parameters are specified, including:

• Range scale / swath width - Coverage / overlap
• Navigation and ancillary information
• Background information (vector and raster)
• Survey area and orientation
• Line orientation within survey area

Upon completion, a line plan is automatically built and passed to DelphNav, Triton's navigation control application. A link is retained between the Survey Planner™ and DelphNav such that line orientation, survey area, as well as other survey parameters, may be adjusted as necessary.

Reporting capabilities are offered for estimating the amount of time required to complete a survey operation. This report factors in time associated with equipment mobilization, transit to and from site, time between turns, and system availability per day.
