The 3D Contact Option in TritonMap (3DViz™)

Triton Map has option to display a section of either a Bathy DTM or a Sid Scan Moasic - (or both) in a 3D window.  If both a BathyDTM and a side scan mosaic are present then the image shows the mosaic "draped" over the Bathymetry.

The license for this feature is an addition to he normal TritonMap license.

Using the feature

Start TritonMap and load a bathy DTM:

To set the size of the 3D image go to Settings>All Settings>3D Contacts:

NOTE:  The 3D image is at the full resolution of the bathy or side scan layer, choosing a large image may cause an "Out of Memory" error, a message will be displayed advising you to choose a smaller area.

Double click on the area of interest:

The 3D contact window will open (only if the feature is licensed)

If a Side Scan Mosaic is also present then the 3D image shows the side scan "draped" over the bathy.

There are a number of tools with "Tool Tips" along the top edge of the 3D window:

To rotate, roll or pitch the image drag with the Left Mouse Button.

To move the image use the Right Mouse Button.

To move the light source hold down the CTRL key and drag.

The camera Icon allows export to a common graphic format (.BMP) which includes some extra information
