71xx server and snippet logging.

This is an update to the 7125 interface that was introduced to solve three problems:

The basic setup of the older 7125 server is covered here please read this first, it is part of the Bathy RT guide and covers the configuration for logging only Bathy data from the Reson 7125.

Setting up the 71xx server:

Start Isis and hit File>Record Setup>Sonar setup, choose Reson 71xx.

Hit the Advanced button

f you are logging snippets check this box to have Isis.exe be promoted to a Real Time application in Windows.

In the Reson 71xx Setup dialog choosing all options will log not only Bathy data but also Side Scan imagery and Snippets.

WARNING! Snippet logging creates very large XTF files and requires a good fast (Gigabit) NIC and cabling, expect to be logging 10- 30Gb per hour.

Hit OK and OK to return to the main waterfall window.

In Isis click the Red Record button to launch the 71xx server:

Note that the ON-LINE button is not checked by default, you need to select the sonar (7111 or 7125) first.

If all is well when you check the ON-LINE box the server will appear like this:

When the 71xx server is configured to log snippets it is also automatically promoted to a real time application.
