Configuring the Benthos 1624 server with Isis® or SS-Logger™

The Benthos SIS1624 sonar connects to Isis via an Ethernet connection, the 1624 server (SIS1624.exe) is automatically launched by Isis.

The default IP address of the sonar is 192.168.0.17, you need to configure the network card on the system that is running Isis to be in the same IP range, in the example we have chosen 192.168.0.20 – you must NOT use 192.168.0.17. Enter an address in the same range as the sonar:

Click OK to exit and then launch Isis, Click Record Setup then Sonar Setup:

From the drop down list of servers select Benthos SIS-1624:

The settings in the SideScan sonar information box are correct, there is no need to change anything here, click OK three times to return to the Isis main window.

Click the red Record button in Isis, the SIS1624 server will launch, and if the sonar is connected correctly and powered up, a green indicator light on the server will flash each time the sonar transmits:

The Isis waterfall display will scroll displaying the side scan data. the More>> button allows you to configure other setting for the sonar; consult your Benthos SIS1624 manual for details of these settings:
