December 2004 - Full Software Release
The Triton Imaging, Inc. December 2004 Software Release includes the following new applications and capabilities.
New Applications
Triton SB-Logger™
The new Triton sub-bottom profiler and shallow seismic data acquisition and playback application. The baseline application is designed for easy setup and operation, with numerous quality control features to ensure data acquisition is done right the first time. Dedicated server interfaces show only those parameters critical to accurate data acquisition.
In playback mode, Triton SB-Logger™ features many advanced capabilities for rapid data review and analysis. These capabilities include a "scrubbing" tool for rapid scanning of a data files, an image capture tool for the export of profile sections as bitmap files, and a variety of optional filters designed to enhance imagery and improve interpretation results.
Triton GSF-Export™
An add-on module to BathyPro™ that allows the user to export a GSF file containing all flagged soundings associated with the BathyPro™ processing routines while retaining access raw sounding information. The export option can be invoked either in real-time or in post-processing. If used in real-time, considerable time-savings are realized when importing the GSF files in 3rd party packages for data validation.
- New Sidescan Servers: C-Max CM2, Benthos 1624, and Edgetech MP-X
- New Bathymetry Servers: Simrad EM3002
- Support for USB Sentinels: Triton licensing products are now supported on USB sentinels (dongles).
New Capabilities
Isis® MBSS-Logger™
- Sound Velocity Warning: Isis® now issues a warning if the sound velocity parameter is something other than the default of 1500 m/sec. As sound velocity is used to calculate the position of features observed across the seabed, the value of this parameter should be known before beginning interpretations.
- Support for Simrad EM3002 datagram: The Triton EM3000 Server supports the datagram being issued by the EM3002 multibeam echo sounder. Data may be logged to XTF file or processed in real-time to create a DTM.
- C-Max Sonar Support: Isis® now supports sidescan data from the new C-Max CM2 digital tow fish.
- Tide Export via ASCII Report Tool: Tides values logged in XTF files may now be exported via the ASCII Report tool of Isis® on a Ping, Time, or Distance basis.
TritonMap™
- Target Linkage to Isis®
- Support for New BSB Chart Format: TritonMap™ supports the latest format modifications to BSB charts. These raster-based charts may be displayed as background imagery for mosaics, DTMs, or real time navigation operations with DelphNav.
- Support for Multi-Layer TIFF TritonMap™ supports the import of multi-layer GeoTiff images exported by 3rd party applications. These files may be displayed as background imagery for mosaics, DTMs, or real time navigation operations with DelphNav.
DelphNav™
- Improved Storage of Navigation Files
- Larger Helmsman Display Text: Text associated with off-line distance in Helmsman Display is now larger in size so that it can be viewed more easily in a remote location.
BathyPro™
- Improved Real Time BathyPro™ Operation: All window location retained when existing application, allowing for a recreation of desktop environment after Shutdown and Startup.
- Support for EM3002 datagram: Datagram being issued by EM3002 supported by BathyPro™ for data processing and DTM generation.
- GSF Export: BathyPro™ now supports the export of GSF files in real-time or post-processing. In real-time operations, all soundings flagged during acquisition can be used during post-processing.
- Improved Contouring: Adjustments made to contouring algorithm and default values to improve contouring efficiency and results.
Utilities
Hypack-To-XTF Converter:
- Converter supports creation of XTF files for Hypack v8.9 files. The XTF files may be imported to other Related Products for DTM and mosaic generation.
