Industry Applications
|
Hydrography Planning and conducting multibeam and sidescan surveys and the processing of the data
collected for the production of hydrographic charts is fully supported by the new Triton software. Innovative real-time
quality control tools such as Triton’s Survey Monitor coupled with modern, state-of-art manual and automated processing tools
such as CUBE and 3D area-based editing allow users of Triton software to easily create accurate hydrographic charts to
IHO standards and NOAA specifications.
Mine Hunting/Countermeasures Triton software has played a major role in mine countermeasures for major global navies
since the early days of analog sidescan sonars and Q-Route operations. The basic techniques established by the pioneering
ISIS® product coupled with the TargetPro targeting module have been improved upon through countless successful operations in a
broad range of operating environments. Triton’s mine countermeasures capabilities now include such advanced capabilities as
Computer Automated Detection (CAD), graphical display of historical target positions on new data, seabed segmentation/classification
for environmental assessment, mosaic-based targeting, and bathymetric data fusion among others to provide a comprehensive toolset
capable of meeting the challenges of modern mine hunting.
Subsea Developments Civil engineering projects and offshore subsea construction can be well
supported by the multi-sensor approach and data fusion capabilities in Triton software. Triton’s integrated environment
makes it ideal for use in: geohazard clearance surveys for pipeline routes and rig/platform placement; geotechnical
investigations for proposed underwater structures in ports, rivers, reservoirs, near-shore and in the deep sea; and
for post-construction inspection surveys.
Natural Resource Exploration Locating natural resources in the offshore environment can be
augmented by using Triton Perspective for data processing and interpretation. Whether searching for gas expulsions
indicating seepage from an underground oil and gas field, monitoring tailings from an offshore diamond mining operation,
or looking at seafloor geomorphology identifying trapped river basins where gold likely accumulated, Triton Perspective
combines powerful processing with advanced interpretation tools for getting the most from your collected data.
Port/Harbor Security Detection of foreign and potentially dangerous objects on the seabed
with in a port or harbor using existing hydrographic survey assets is made possible with the addition of Triton’s Perspective
software. Historical survey data is managed in a large database such that newly collected multibeam and sidescan data can be
quickly and easily compared with past survey of the same area. A suite of manual and semi-automated functions provide the
tools necessary to detect changes on the seabed and to identify suspicious objects that pose a threat to port or harbor
commercial operations.
Commercial Survey Company Between data acquisition, survey planning/monitoring, and processing/interpreation
tools, Triton software provides an end-to-end solution for offshore geophysical surveying, interpretation and
reporting. Survey monitoring tools and alarms ensure high quality data collection with automated processing tools to minimize
user involvement. Whether performing geohazard risk assessments, geotechnical investigations, hydrographic surveys, or just
providing seabed mapping services, Triton has the best solution to meet your surveying needs.
Academia/Research Institute Triton Perspective is the ideal software for scientific research with its ability to combine
multiple data types together like a GIS package while preserving the co-registered link to the raw data for enhanced interpretation. Fast
automated processing routines enable users to focus less on processing, and more on data analysis and interpretation to meet their
research goals.

Survey Phase
|
|
Triton software is grouped into three packages based on the phase of the survey project. The 'Acquisition' package
includes everything needed to collect high quality data in XTF or SEGY formats. Following data acquisition, the 'Processing'
package includes all tools needed to process and interpret the collected data. The 'Support' package provides functionality
both prior to the mission for survey planning, plus during acquisition for real-time monitoring.
