Isis® MB-Logger™ is Triton's data acquisiton software for multibeam, single-beam, and interferometric sonars and is included in the Isis® Offshore-MB product package. Triton’s Isis® MB-Logger™ application combines accurate data logging with powerful quality control displays to provide survey groups with a cost competitive solution to their data acquisition needs. Raw multibeam data and ancillary data streams (navigation, attitude, heading, etc.) are time-stamped and stored as XTF files. MB-Logger™ systems are active throughout the world, incorporating over 20 years of field experience in hardware and software design. Incoming bathymetry sonar and ancillary sensor data are time-stamped to millisecond accuracy, thereby ensuring the final data products can be properly corrected during processing.Interfaces are available for most multibeam sonars on the market. The current version of Isis® MB-Logger™ will work under Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

Sonar Software Interface

Included with the purchase of MB-Logger is a digital sonar software interface for real time sonar control during data acquisition. Software interfaces are available for most multibeam sonars on the market. Note that this is only a software interface and any hardware needed to connect to the sonar should be provided by the sonar manufacturer.

ASCII Reports

ASCII Reporting allows the export of information from any field within the XTF file during acquisition or replay. Export of information can be based on intervals of Time, Distance, or Pings . Data may be exported to a dialog box, through a serial port (for registration on an external navigation system), or to an ASCII file. An essential module for organizations that require detailed survey reports.

Snip File

In playback mode, Isis SS-Logger allows the user to create a new XTF file from a selected portion of the original data file. This is very useful for AUV data that includes lines turns and the descent and ascent of the vehicle.

Coverage Map

Coverage Map is used for tracking survey progress and monitoring overlap between survey lines .

MB-Monitor (optional)

Triton MB-Monitor™ is our real-time QC tool for monitoring acquisition operations during multibeam surveys. The application consists of a four panel window for statistical parameters including: Along-Track Coverage, Effective Swath Width, Sound Velocity, and Rate of Change for both attitude and heading. If any of these parameters exceed user-defined thresholds, the UI panel changes from Green to Yellow to Red (dependent on the severity and duration of the bad data). Adjustments to survey conditions can be done immediately, ensuring better data throughout the survey.

MB-DTM RT (optional)

MB-DTM RT™ produces a real-time DTM which greatly increases survey productivity. The DTM is created using BathyPro™ and displayed in TritonMap™ as the survey proceeds, allowing the operator to alter the survey plan to ensure full coverage or gather more data upon features of interest.
